and we are the people that bring you The Sauce Forge. Alongside running TSF in the evenings and weekends, we both work full time, Dan as a Senior Software Engineer and Steph as an Operations Manager.
Since meeting in 2014 we have always been passionate about food. Namely Good Food. Our fridge in our family home has always been stockpiled with various sauces, and we are always on the search for new sauces and dips to try with our food, but nothing ever really hits the mark and leaves a lasting impression.
Our biggest passion, our daughter Amelia, with a toddler sized addiction to pickled eggs, was the catalyst kicking of our journey starting up The Sauce Forge, The story of which can be read here. Once we had dialled in our own signature sauce recipe and crafted something that we ourselves can't get enough of, wanted to share it with everyone else!
Dan is the owner and creator of each recipe, designs all the labels, builds and maintains our website, scouts for markets, manages the books, handles Food Safety. Dan's favourite sauce is our Honey Habanero recipe, its sweet and comforting, while at the same time blazingly hot.
Steph oversees content creation on social media, packs all the bottles, labelling, quality control, marketing in person and online. Steph's favourite sauce is The Original because its compliments most foods. Wraps, chips, drizzled on chilli con carne, being her top 3.
We are a small working family who manages our business alongside trips to the farm, birthday parties and playdates. As parents we understand how important it is to access fresh produce, we aim to release a batch once a year using fully home grown produce that have been nurtured by us. In 2025 we grew 6 different varieties, so stay tuned for when you can expect to see those!
Amelia, small but mighty, is an integral part of the business too, she brings the fun, and will often be found with us when we meet you at markets. Amelia continues continue to inspire us to ensure that everyone in the family can grab a bottle made by The Sauce Forge when gathering around the dinner table. So watch this space for our upcoming family friendly range of sauces.
We are still very small, this year we hope to build our network and reputation for crafting flavour packed homemade sauces and other condiments.
